Life’s journey is vast taking us from one path to another. The stages of life are many… some providing dreams and desires while others providing a means of sustenance and a path of reality. Time passes. Echoes from our past call but the means are not yet to be. Then from reality comes peace, contentment and relaxation as retirement takes center stage. As the echoes can now be heard clearly, a new life begins and the dreams and desires become so real. So many things which we wanted to enjoy in this lifetime are now possible. The future holds so much to heal the soul and the mind as we begin a healthier lifestyle and we explore exciting new things along the way.

Sometimes we’re just doing a hike but other times we’ll combine that with with sailing, cycling, snowshoeing or even kayaking to get us to our hiking destination. I try to make every hike an exercise in exploration and often I hear the echoes of memories from the past.
